Standard Midwifery Care Package

  • Complimentary Interview
  • Intake – paperwork & physical
  • Prenatal visits and consultations
  • Active Labor, Birth and immediate postpartum
  • Postpartum visits, weight checks & lactation support
  • Register the birth with the State of Colorado

Deluxe Midwifery Care Package

  • Includes all of the above PLUS
  • Four counseling and/or bodywork sessions
  • Coordinate postpartum help and
  • Six hours of postpartum doula care*

Birth Doula Package

  • Complimentary Interview
  • Intake – assess family’s needs & develop birth plan
  • Early labor support in home and active labor support in hospital
  • Help understanding and choosing options in the hospital
  • With you through the birth and two hours afterwards
  • Immediate support with lactation, bonding & infant care
  • Follow-up visit in the home to go over birth experience and answer questions

Postpartum Doula Package*

  • Complimentary Interview
  • Intake – assess family’s needs and develop a postpartum plan
  • Coordinate and activate support team when the baby arrives
  • In-home support as contracted (fee based on number of hours contracted)

*The role of the postpartum doula is to "mother the mother."
This may include lactation support, basic housekeeping, meal preparation, sibling care, pet care, shopping, etc. Sometimes doulas will provide care for the baby while the mother showers or catches up on some sleep, but we prefer that the doula does the "dirty work" while the parents get to enjoy and love their new baby.

If you have a supportive partner who can take time off work, your mom, sister, or friends close by, or you belong to a church or other close group that will be helping you through those early days, you may not need postpartum doula care. Families that truly benefit from this level of care are frequently those who are new to the area or who don’t have other support groups that they can call on for help. Mothers who have had C-section delivery or who have given birth to multiples are also good candidates for this care.
